Bio: Matthew is a second-generation Mexican-American from Santa Barbara, CA. He is a former transfer student, transferring from Santa Barbara City College to UCSB in the Fall of 2018. While at UCSB, he earned a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Applied Psychology and graduated in 2020. During his senior year at UCSB, he was one of the Co-Publicity chairs for the Comunidad Latinx Graduacion Ceremony for the Class of 2020. Matthew is excited to be back at UCSB and is grateful for the opportunity to help and work with UCSB’s transfer students in his role as Programs Assistant. Prior to coming back to UCSB, Matthew worked at Santa Barbara City College with the Transfer Achievement Program. In his free time, he enjoys watching sunsets, spending time with family and friends, and finding new shows to watch.
