The Transfer Student Center is committed to supporting the holistic success of transfer students of all intersecting identities by providing a dedicated community space, peer mentoring, transfer-specific programming, and academic advising. We work to ensure that every transfer student has equitable access to resources, opportunities, and experiences at UCSB.

The TSC aims to contribute to transfer students' success by creating a community that helps foster personal, professional, and academic achievements at UCSB through peer support networks, connections to the campus community, and access to resources. We acknowledge and honor the intersecting identities transfer students hold and strive to promote transfer students’ academic success and well-being by advocating for change, equity, and increased acceptance of transfer student identities and endeavors. 

WELCOME: students as they transition into UCSB and throughout their time here

INVITE: students to explore resources, programs, opportunities, and develop their sense of purpose as they pursue their academic and career goals (develop curiosity of their driving forces to curate their educational path/journey)

CONNECT: students to each other by providing a central meeting place, The Transfer Student Center, for studying and socializing, as well as through our programs and events that bring transfers together.

ADVOCATE: promote equity and inclusion for transfers across the UCSB campus.

PROGRESS: provide students with ready access to Academic Advising to meet their educational timeline.
