Advice to Transfers: Transferring is one of the most vulnerable and accomplishing experiences someone can go through. You made it this far and you should truly be proud of all that you have accomplished. Your journey has only just begun, and if there is any advice to give it is to allow yourself the chance to grow these next two years and remember that making mistakes throughout your academic journey is completely normal and is a necessary part of learning. Some things that made my journey easier, although uncomfortable, was meeting people. This will help you build and create a network amongst other students, professors, and more. This will also make it easier to adapt to your environment. Entering into a new space can seem overwhelming, but you will soon realize that everyone around you is also experiencing somewhat of the same thing, and you will see that it really isn’t all that scary. Understand that what you set out to achieve isn’t going to be easy, it’s going to take hard work and dedication, but there are tons of resources to help you through this so it is important that you utilize them. You should visualize your resources like a vitamin, something utilized as a daily supplement for your well being. Lastly, don’t forget to give yourself a break! Good Luck!
