Bio: Hello! My name's Emeka, and I'm a fourth-year transfer student majoring in Econ & Accounting. In my free time, I like to go for walks, do Wordle puzzles, and watch a good TV show or anime series. I'm looking forward to a great year! Advice for Transfers: Transferring can be a big adjustment academically and socially. Every day is a learning experience, and every setback is an opportunity. I think UCSB has a lot to offer, and it's important to be intentional about carving out space for yourself on campus as a transfer. So, my number one piece of advice is just to do things, and do them early! At the start of each quarter, keep an eye out for any involvement fairs on campus, make a list of resources that you can take advantage of on campus, and then use them! If you find a club, event, or organization that piques your interest, don't wait; get involved and see if it's a good fit for you. As a transfer, you belong here; never feel afraid to take advantage of everything this campus has to offer, because before you know it, you'll be staring down graduation!
