Advice for new transfers: Take a breath. Please remember that it was your hard work and determination that put you here at UCSB. Please be kind to yourself while enjoying the journey that you are about to embark on and start strong that first quarter. Start by going to your professor's office hours as much as you can and ask questions whether it's with the material in the class or the layout. Additionally, switching the locations of your study spots can be a game changer and is a terrific way to optimize your study time as well as explore our lovely campus. I also advise communication with your professors or your TAs as much as possible, whether it's through emails or office hours, advocating for yourself and building those professional relationships will provide self-clarity as well as speak volumes about your work ethic. Overall, remember to practice balance throughout the quarters, be kind to yourself, and do not be shy to reach out to your TSC Peer Educators for any help or guidance.
