Bio

Stephanie is a first generation, 4th year transfer student from Cuyamaca Community College located in San Diego. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Sociology and a minor in Applied Psychology with the goals of attending graduate school to pursue a career in higher education. At UCSB, she is involved in organizations that foster professional development, community involvement, and create a sense of belonging. Some of her favorite things to do are baking, learning new recipes, arts and crafts, hiking, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Advice for Transfers: Get involved in a variety of organizations to find a community where you feel comfortable. It is a great opportunity to meet new people and gain connections that can help you during and even after your time at UCSB. Use the campus resources to help you reach your goals. There are so many such as the TSC, Career Center, CAPS,EOP and much more with the purpose of helping you succeed. Take advantage of your time at UCSB and do as much as you can, it can lead to many opportunities. Even though you may feel overwhelmed, set time aside for yourself and make every moment count!
