Lauren is a fourth-year transfer student from Southwestern College, San Diego. She loves being a resource for fellow peers and being able to help them through their transition into the university lifestyle. She enjoys outdoor activities, loves traveling to new places and trying amazing food, and she is open to trying new activities and meeting new people!

Advice for new transfers: Step outside your comfort zone! It can be scary and uncomfortable but in the end it will be worth it and you’ll be able to look back and cherish all of your experiences here at UCSB! Take advantage of the amazing opportunity, be resourceful, and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Times can get tough, but keep pushing through until you reach your goal! This isn’t the end, it’s only the beginning!
