Bio

Shyra is a fourth-year transfer student from the East Bay Area. She earned her associate's degree in Business Administration from Las Positas College. She is a first-generation student earning her bachelor's degree in Economics and Accounting and plans to earn her CPA after she graduates. She has also interned at EY, one of the big 4 accounting firms. Her hobbies include watching reality TV, reading cheesy books, finding new places to eat, listening to music, and going on random spontaneous adventures. Her favorite spot on campus is the Arbor.

Advice for transfer students: Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way even if it may seem silly or unattainable, you’d be surprised by where it might lead you. Never be afraid to ask for help, your professors and peers want to see you succeed! It can be scary being a transfer student, so it’s extremely important to remember you are not alone!
