Bio

Matthew is a 4th-year transfer student from the San Fernando Valley, he transferred from Los Angeles Pierce College with an associate's degree and is currently majoring in Political Science. Over the summer, Matthew has worked alongside Congresswoman Young Kim in California’s 40th Congressional District and has previously participated in the University of California Washington Program (UCDC) which gave him the opportunity to study, research, and work in Washington D.C. while embracing its political atmosphere and amazing melting pot of culture. During his time at Los Angeles Pierce College he has mentored high school students all across the L.A. Metro on learning public policy and advocacy for policy change. Currently, as Matthew returns to UCSB, he hopes to continue giving to the community in helping transfer students ease their way onto new journeys.
