Bio: Marco is a Senior transfer student from Sacramento City College with an associate degree in Business Administration and Economics. He is a First-Generation student who is working towards a degree in Communication and a minor in Educational Studies and plans to use his degree in Educational Leadership and Policy. His hobbies include cooking, hiking, thrifting, and watching movies. Marco’s favorite spots on campus are TD-W overlooking the Lagoon and Ocean, Bren Hall’s Patio, and Campus Point. 

Advice for Transfers: College is a great time to diversify your interest and develop new perspectives. Take advantage of the great minds on campus and use them to better yourself through research, classes, and exploration. Do your best to adopt an intrinsically motivated approach to learning, this will not only make classes much more fun but will also help you appreciate your time at UCSB
