Bio

Alejandra is a fourth year transfer student from Moreno Valley, California, where she completed three years at Moreno Valley College. She part of a pilot program called the STEM Bridge Program, which is now called the Transfer Summer Start Program. By participating in this program, Alejandra was able to get a head start on acclimating to university life and connected with several faculty members. She is currently aspiring towards graduate school. On her down time she likes going on hikes, going to the gym and visiting new places to eat.

Major: Psychology

Minor: LGBTQ Studies

Campus Involvements: Queer Student Union; La Familia de Colores; Research Assistant in the Close Relationships Lab in the Department of Psychology

Advice for New Transfer Students: Whatever it is that you might need, there is a resource on campus that can help you out with it or there is someone who can direct you to sources both on and off campus to assist you. Utilize all the resources you need because your student fees pays for it, so why not take advantage? Do not be afraid to put yourself out there and meet new people. This campus is beautiful, friendly, and diverse. Enjoy it as much as you can!
